David Ortiz injury update: Red Sox DH hopes to make debut Friday

 Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz would like to be in the lineupSupreme Snapback Hats Friday night when the team plays its first home game since the Boston Marathon terrorist attacks Monday.

Ortiz, the longest-tenured member of the Red Sox, has yet to play this season because of discomfort in both of his heels. That issue arose this spring as he was trying to retu from an Achilles’ tendon injury that limited him to just 90 games last season (just one game after July 16).

 It appears that Ortiz is physically ready to make his 2013 major league debut, Famous Stars & Straps Snapbacks but his timing at the plate hasn’t been perfect during his minor league rehab assignment.

“It’s going to happen because I haven’t played in the last eight months,” Ortiz told The Boston Globe. “I’m going to make adjustments the more I see pitches. You work into a funk even when you’re good to go.

“As a Major League Baseball player you make adjustments and you get to the point where you want to be playing. That’s pretty obvious. It’s not like I have plenty of time to sit down and think about it. … This is when the experience and what I’ve leaed through the years kick in and I have to put it in play.”

 Ortiz’s retu would provide even more reason for the shaken fans in Boston to get excited about Friday night’s game at Fenway Park.

“We’re hopeful that by the end of this week he’s still New Era Coop Chenille Snapback able to rejoin us,” Red Sox manager John Farrell told the newspaper.
